NEEDLE ON THE RECORD - MIKKI JAMES No mass gathers on the East Village's favorite Pied Piper, Mikki James. After a five-year career playing bass for the critically acclaimed Thin Lizard Dawn, Mikki James has recorded no less than five solo records. He has also had the opportunity to play with some of NYC's best known musicians including Ryan Adams, Albert Hammond Jr., Jesse Malin, and Leonna Ness. MY DARLING - AMBERSHADES Ambershades met in a London pub in 2002 and after an evening of drinking games and deep discussion realized they had been playing in the same band for over a year. The harmonies of Davey (lead vocals), Ben (vocals & guitar), Beardy (vocals and keyboards) and Johnny (vocals and bass) with the driving rhythms of Terry on drums have drawn obvious comparisons to both the Beatles and the Beach Boys. A PLACE IN DISPLACEMENT - SOUTH A London-based trio, South were first signed to James Lavelle's Mowax label in 1999. VICIOUS TIMES - TOM GEIGER Tom Geiger was born and raised in Akron, Ohio, joined his first cover band in high school, and was a DJ spinning New Wave, Hip Hop, Soul and Club music during college at parties and on college radio. In 1998 Tom moved to NYC and began making records with house DJ/producers. He worked, toured and recorded with the chart topping progressive house duo iiO from 2000 to 2003, and in 2005 started working on the Vicious Times project with another chart-topping house producer/DJ, Lance Jordan. BROKEN LINES - PATRICK ALAN Patrick Alan is an indie/acoustic singer/songwriter from Dallas, Texas. Over the past ten years he's pLayad his music from coast to coast, each night winning over fans with his intimate performances and genuine Lyrics. In the past, Patrick has fronted such bands as Southern Most Start and Feeling Christie, gaining experience and networking with other musicians to help build his career.
